BP2 achievements 2013-16

A number of spectacular achievements were gained between 2013 and 2016. They have been published in the most prestigious scientific journals and presented on numerous international conferences.

HYDRODYNAMICS APPLIED TO QUARK-GLUON PLASMA

Applicability of relativistic hydrodynamics, in particular the role played by non-hydrodynamic modes in describing the process of attaining equilibrium by strongly interacting quantum systems has been clarified. The research brought about a novel approach to hydrodynamics as an effective way of describing the process of attaining equilibrium within a wide class of basic theories, regardless whether or not they offer the quasi-particle description.  >>>>>

SEARCH FOR DARK MATTER AND “NEW” PHYSICS

Within the 2013-2016 period the BayesFITS team focussed its research attention on analyses of a wide range of experimental data acquired at LHC and in the dark matter experiments, striving to identify any signs of the so-called ”new physics”. The Bayesian statistics, a novel approach applied in those analyses, was used to correctly calculate probabilities of various theoretical models.  >>>>>

THEORETICAL STUDIES ON SCATTERING OF MEDIUM- AND HIGH-ENERGY ELEMENTARY PARTICLES

Effects of de-correlation in production of jets have been analysed with the help of some advanced theoretical methods of quantum chromodynamics. All known facts concerning theoretical description of that process have been taken for the first time into account. The results are quite spectacular: first of all they are in line with data supplied by the CMS collaboration working at LHC, secondly they may help to postulate in the future measurements of some new properties. >>>>>

THE UNIVERSE COULD SURVIVE BIG BANG

A team of physicists from NCBJ and France has proposed a method to take quantum effects into consideration when analysing evolution of the early Universe. The performed calculations [3] have suggested a possibility that the Bib Bang cosmological hypothesis might be replaced by a “Big Reflection” scenario. Observations of relic gravitational waves help to verify the proposed model.  >>>>>

LONG-LIVED SUPERHEAVY NUCLEI AND THE HYPER DEFORMATION MYSTERY

Cross-sections for production of superheavy nuclei planned to be synthesized soon have been predicted [1]. It has been shown that probability of production of even the heaviest nucleus in the nature composed of total 285 nucleons should be high enough.  >>>>>
