Department of Nuclear Equipment HITEC develops, manufactures, sells and services equipment with applications in the industrial and medical sectors.
More than a hundred highly qualified employees of the Department of Nuclear Equipment cooperate with the research facilities of the National Centre for Nuclear Research, improve existing products and create new solutions.
We have technological facilities and a modern production hall, as well as the premises necessary for working with equipment that produces ionising radiation.
An integrated quality management system according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, as well as an Internal Control System, has been implemented at the Department of Nuclear Equipment.
About us
For industry
Our industrial products revolve around LILLYPUT series linear accelerator models designed for radiographic nondestructive testing with a wide energy range beam.
Department of Nuclear Equipment offers complete, customized radiographic systems. It uses various types of digital imaging detectors and dedicated manipulator systems.
Possible product applications:
- NDT testing with high-energy photon beams of materials of various thicknesses and dimensions,
- types of testing from defectoscopy with X-ray film to modern digital arrays.
For medicine
Department of Nuclear Equipment HITEC develops devices used in medicine based on photon and electron beam irradiation accelerators and associated equipment, such as therapy tables. We also offer shielding doors adapted to any type of medical accelerator bunkers.
Our latest project in the field of medical accelerators is an intraoperative therapy device. It is an electron accelerator with a wide spectrum of emitted radiation energies and with a large range of movement in the work field-operating field. This precision device irradiates the locus immediately after the removal of the cancerous tumor, while it is still in the operating room. This type of therapy significantly reduces the total treatment time and improves patients' quality of life. The intraoperative accelerator can be used to treat cancers of the breast, and also increasingly: abdominal, rectal, pancreatic, sarcomas and shallowly located lesions in children.
For science
As the unit of the National Centre for Nuclear Research, the Division of Nuclear Equipment is involved in a number of purely scientific projects and constantly cooperates with leading scientific laboratories from around the world. We are especially proud of our cooperation with the European Organization for Nuclear Research CERN and participation in the project of modernization of the Large Hadron Collider - the largest and most important research device ever built. Participation in this type of scientific project is an irreplaceable source of inspiration and ideas for the implementation of next generations of our products for the Division of Nuclear Equipment.
