INVITATION
CULTURAL VOLUNTEER
We invite you to join our cultural volunteering programme,
conducted in the Welcome Point project.
Cultural Volunteering is:
- about sharing knowledge and passions to build closer relations, get to know each other better, and get to know the Institute, Poland, Warsaw, Otwock and the surrounding area
- a place where you will use your skills and have the opportunity to talk in English
For us cultural volunteering is just a teamwork and building a common good based on co-creating the Institute's international community.
If you have ideas, like helping and meeting new people - please get in touch!
You are welcome to apply by e-mail: welcome.point@ncbj.gov.pl or via the form.

Previous events:
Mrs Anna Pearson organised a cycling tour for the 'Crown of Warsaw' charity event.
NCBJ staff organised a science and sports picnic. Volunteers developed a programme of activities for employees, their children and friends. There was a sports competition, a science workshop with experiments and a barbecue for all participants.
Two movie nights were organised on the initiative of the staff. The participants (NCBJ employees and doctoral students) watched Polish cult films with English subtitles. After the screenings, they had the opportunity to talk and share their impressions over refreshments.
Mr William Pearson created a mini guide targeted at foreigners newly arrived in Poland. In it, he highlighted the most important issues concerning everyday life, shared practical information and tips.
An idea has arisen to collect books in English covering topics related to Polish culture in the broadest sense, so that NCBJ staff and doctoral students can share interesting items and learn about Polish art, customs and interesting places in Poland. The library is also open to other publications in English.
