The Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) procedure allows practitioners to better understand most of the causes that can initiate nuclear accidents and identify the most critical elements of systems.
The NARSIS project does not aim to conduct a full review of the PSA procedure, but to propose some improvements to be incorporated into current PSA procedures. The effectiveness of these improvements will be tested and verified by the project through a set of laboratory experiments and numerical simulations for a typical nuclear power plant and real applications.
