The 10th anniversary edition of the Polish Gas Industry Congress, organised by the Chamber of Commerce for the Gas Industry, is taking place on 20–21 April – the most important event in the gas sector in Poland. This year’s edition is not only a review of achievements to date and the direction of development in the energy sector with regard to securing energy supplies, but above all a strategic discussion on the industry’s future direction in the face of dynamic market and geopolitical changes. The National Centre for Nuclear Research will be among the experts speaking at the Congress.

The Congress provides a unique platform for dialogue, bringing together representatives of public administration, infrastructure operators, industry leaders and the academic community. The focus is on the key challenges of the energy transition – from the development of modern infrastructure and international cooperation to regulation and the growing role of low- and zero-emission gases.

Particular emphasis is placed on the security of energy infrastructure – a topic of strategic importance for the stability of the system. The Director of the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ), Prof. Jakub Kupecki, is taking part in a dedicated panel, where, together with industry experts, he is analysing current legal regulations and the challenges associated with the protection of grid infrastructure and energy storage facilities. The discussion also covers aspects of cybersecurity and the physical protection of critical infrastructure.
