What do we specialise in?

we carry out scientific and research work in the design, construction and use of nuclear apparatus used in research infrastructures, industry and medicine,
we develop ionising radiation detection techniques and data analysis methods for research and application purposes,
we design, build and test electronic systems for research infrastructures and industry,
we develop control and imaging software and Monte Carlo simulation methods for physical processes in basic and applied research,
we offer research and scientific support to the work carried out by the Department of Nuclear Facilities Operations (DEJ) and the Department of Nuclear Equipment HITEC (ZdAJ).

The Department carries out numerous national and international research projects in the field of nuclear physics in its broadest sense. It collaborates extensively with national and international research centres, including, but not limited to, France, Germany, Sweden, UK, Switzerland, USA and China. The Department provides a workplace for physicists, electronics engineers, programmers, laboratory scientists and technicians.

The Department enables the completion of master's and doctoral theses in the fields of physics and technical sciences.
