The National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) is one of the members of the KMD4EOSC (National Data Repository) project consortium, whose aim is to collect data obtained from scientific and research and development grants in the national EOCS node. (European Open Science Cloud). The project is being implemented with support from the European Funds for a Modern Economy programme.

The National Data Repository 4 is a nationwide infrastructure and research project aimed at maintaining and developing a universal, distributed infrastructure for storing, managing, sharing and processing large volumes of research data. The project supports scientific research requiring intensive data processing, particularly in the fields of science, technology and natural sciences.

The project will enable the creation of a national EOSC node, connected to the European Commission's EOSC EU Node and other national nodes of European Union countries. The National Data Repository will allow for the publication of raw data obtained from grants awarded by the National Science Centre, the National Centre for Research and Development and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The project is being implemented by a consortium of leading national computing and academic centres, led by the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences – Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Centre (IChB PAN / PCSS). The finished solution will be used by scientific and R&D communities, including universities, Polish Academy of Sciences institutes, State Research Institutes, units of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, as well as the economy in the broad sense, including entities particularly interested in new technologies. Thanks to access to open data from the National Data Repository, representatives of the administration and the public will also be able to use it.
