International research institutions, innovative technologies, and real opportunities for collaboration with business – Big Science and NOMATEN Innovation Days 2026 is where partnerships are formed that shape the future of the economy and science.

Big Science and NOMATEN Innovation Days 2026 is a unique event dedicated to building research and development cooperation with leading institutions from the industrial sector and to creating networks between the scientific community
and the business environment.

International Big Science research laboratories are centers conducting groundbreaking research, developing innovative solutions, and advancing new technologies. Cooperation between institutions such as CERN, Fusion for Energy, ESS, and European XFEL
and industry is crucial for the implementation of ambitious scientific projects.
It is thanks to such partnerships that Europe has strengthened its position in recent years as one of the global leaders in innovation and technological development.

Meetings with representatives of the Big Science community and the NOMATEN team open the way to new partnerships, technology transfer, and the implementation of advanced research and development projects. The event provides a space for dialogue, inspiration, and collaboration in support of the development of science and the economy.

The organizers have also prepared a space for direct, short meetings between representatives of science and business. This format fosters the establishment of concrete relationships and the identification of potential areas of cooperation.

For small and medium-sized enterprises, this is a real opportunity to enter domestic
and international markets, as well as to implement technologies developed in laboratories into industrial production. The benefits of such activities directly translate into economic growth and improved quality of life for society.

An example of the outcomes of collaboration within Big Science is the activity of CERN – the European Organization for Nuclear Research. It was there that the world’s first website was created, and technologies used, among others, in positron emission tomography (PET) were developed. Today, these solutions are widely used around the world.

Big Science and NOMATEN Innovation Days 2026 is organized by the Świerk Science and Technology Park and the NOMATEN Centre of Excellence.

The Świerk Science and Technology Park operates within the National Centre for Nuclear Research and focuses on the commercialization of scientific research results. It supports entrepreneurs by initiating joint projects with NCBJ scientists and by cooperating
with international research centers, including by providing information
on tenders and opportunities to participate in projects.

The NOMATEN Centre of Excellence is a Polish research unit operating within the NCBJ, established in cooperation with the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and the Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA) in France. The centre conducts research on advanced materials for various industrial sectors.
