The National Centre for Nuclear Research opens the competition for the position of

Postdoc

at The Theoretical Physics Division

Localization: Warsaw, Pasteura Street 7

The selected candidate will join the QCD research group at the Department of Theoretical Physics of NCBJ in September/October 2025. The candidate will work within the project funded by NCN titled "Exploring the Secrets of Parton Dynamics in the Era of High-Energy Colliders" on topics related to the study of exclusive processes within the formalism of generalized parton distributions (GPDs). The project is led by Prof. Lech Szymanowski. The expected employment period is 2 years.

Description of tasks:

  • contributing to the implementation of research tasks related to high-energy hadronic processes in QCD (topics related to the study of exclusive processes within the formalism of generalized parton distributions);
  • Participating in scientific discussions;
  • Performing analytical and numerical calculations;
  • Participating in the preparation of research papers;
  • Participating in the discussion of research results;
  • Presenting research results at international conferences.

Requirements:

  • PhD in theoretical physics;
  • documented research experience in the field of Quantum Chromodynamics.

  • list of publications;
  • research statement;
  • a scan/copy of degree diploma.
  • two reference letters, arranged by the applicants and directly submitted by the letter writers before the application deadline
