The National Centre for Nuclear Research opens the competition for the position of:

Professor of the Institute
(ref.: TJ3_322)

Localization: Świerk near Otwock - in the outskirts of Warsaw with daily transport services provide.

Description of tasks:

  • participation in statutory tasks accepted for implementation in Radiation Detectors and Plasma Diagnostics Division (TJ3);
  • execution of orders from superiors related to the organization of work in the TJ3 plant and the implementation of tasks performed in the plant;
  • current analysis of the possibilities of obtaining or participating in projects offering external (in relation to statutory funds) financing;
  • establishing international cooperation and participation in international research projects;
  • scientific work and publication of research results;
  • independence in organizing and optimizing own working time;
  • ability to cooperate with other team members;
  • reporting results in accordance with the plant's policy;
  • compliance with the Work Regulations in force at the Institute;
  • compliance with: state and official secrets, work discipline, health and safety and fire protection regulations, principles of protection against ionizing radiation.

Requirements for the candidate:

  • title of professor or habilitated doctor in the field of physical sciences;
  • significant scientific achievements in the field of physics of ionizing radiation detectors and plasma diagnostics, confirmed by publications with international reach;
  • broad knowledge in the area of ionizing radiation measurements and plasma diagnostics;
  • good command of English, both written and spoken, knowledge of other languages is desirable;
  • experience in managing research projects and managing scientific teams;
  • experience in working in international research teams;
  • experience in obtaining external funds for research.

  • two reference letters, prepared at the request of the candidates and submitted directly by the authors before the application deadline;
  • a scan/ copy of degree diploma;
  • any other possible documents that might influence the assessment.
