The National Centre for Nuclear Research opens the competition for the position of
Research and technical specialist
(TJ3_361)
Work location: Andrzeja Sołtana 7, 05-400 Otwock, Poland (Suburb of Warsaw, efficient and free daily bus transport service provided).
Description of tasks:
- Participation in large-scale research projects conducted by NCBJ focusing on the development and application of X-ray radiation detectors in plasma physics.
- Simulation of phenomena occurring in gas detectors.
- Analysis of simulation and experimental data.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in the field of physical sciences or related natural sciences.
- 3 years of professional experience relevant to the institute's field of activity.
- Practical knowledge of programming languages: C, C++, Python.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization software: ROOT, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib.
- Knowledge of atomic physics, plasma physics, basic spectroscopy, and numerical modeling in these fields.
- Proficiency in the Linux environment.
We appreciate:
- Knowledge of Geant4 and Garfield++ software packages.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
