Research and technical specialist

Work location: Andrzeja Sołtana 7, 05-400 Otwock, Poland (Suburb of Warsaw, efficient and free daily bus transport service provided).

Description of tasks:

• Participation in large-scale research projects conducted by NCBJ focusing on the development and application of X-ray radiation detectors in plasma physics.
• Simulation of phenomena occurring in gas detectors.
• Analysis of simulation and experimental data.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in the field of physical sciences or related natural sciences.
• 3 years of professional experience relevant to the institute's field of activity.
• Practical knowledge of programming languages: C, C++, Python.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization software: ROOT, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib.
• Knowledge of atomic physics, plasma physics, basic spectroscopy, and numerical modeling in these fields.
• Proficiency in the Linux environment.

We appreciate:

• Knowledge of Geant4 and Garfield++ software packages.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
