The National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) is one of the bigest research institutes in Poland. Wide research activity takes place at NCBJ, especially basic research in nuclear physics and related fields, reactor research and development of nuclear fuel, safety of nuclear installations and many others.
Currently, we are looking for a person for a position in Radiation Detectors and Plasma Diagnostics Division
Senior Specialist
Localization: Świerk near Otwock - in the outskirts of Warsaw with daily transport services provide.
Description of tasks:
- Conducting measurements in the field of gamma, alpha and electron spectrometry.
- Investigation of luminescent and optical properties of new scintillation materials.
- Application of low-temperature radioluminescence and thermally stimulated luminescence for the characterization of scintillators.
Requirements for the candidate:
- Diploma of MSc. or MSc. Eng. in Physic.
- Experience in use of ionizing radiation detectors.
- Ability to carry out scientific research in the field of scintillating material characterization.
- Knowledge of English allowing for fluent communication and for publishing results of
conducted research in scientific journals with worldwide outreach. - Skills in writing scientific publications and in presenting results of carried out research during international conferences.
