NCBJ was visited by a group of foreign diplomats associated in Club of Business Advisors at the Polish National Chamber of Commerce. During their stay in Świerk the diplomats familiarized themselves with the structure, the current research potential, and the currently available commercial offer of the largest research Institute in Poland.
27 diplomats from 22 countries and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited NCBJ on October 21, 2015. Świetk facilities presented to them included the MARIA research reactor, the POLATOM Radioisotope Centre, the HITEC Nuclear Equipment Establishment, the CIS Świerk Computer Centre, and the Świerk Science and Technology Park.

I am convinced that in many cases an opportunity to learn our comprehensive and diversified commercial offer may prove a significant factor influencing the decision to start concrete commercial negotiations” – pointed out Professor Grzegorz Wrochna, NCBJ Director General. – “I believe that the visit will bring all of us some tangible benefits already in the nearest future”.
Club of Business Advisors has been run at Polish National Chamber of Commerce since 2014. The Club is associating accredited in Poland diplomats involved in economic/commercial matters. The visit to Świerk was the eleventh meeting of the Club members in this year (the third one outside Warsaw). This year opportunities included a visit to Gdańsk and a meeting with representatives of local authorities and businessmen in Podlasie.
“Cyclic meetings and joint discussions on subjects important from the point of view of Poland’s foreign trade are essential for economic promotion of our country”– pointed out Marek Kłoczko, Vice President and Director General of the National Chamber of Commerce. – “We are confident that the established interesting contacts will result in economic cooperation between Polish research centres and companies and businesspeople from countries represented by members of the Club”.
Club of Business Advisors Meetings are a good opportunity to demonstrate export potential of Polish companies and research institutions. During their trips the diplomats visit various companies, Special Economic Zones, Science & Technology Parks, as well as attend regional conferences.
