Albert Einstein predicted gravitational waves in his paper published just 100 years ago. In connection with that anniversary some commemorative press conferences were simultaneously organized by European Gravitational Observatory and the VIRGO collaboration (in Cascina near Pisa, Italy), the LIGO collaboration (in Washington, DC), and the POLGRAW Polish team participating in the VIRGO collaboration (in Warsaw).
The scientist presented the most recent information on results obtained within the LIGO-VIRGO joint research.
The Warsaw conference was organized by Office for Science Promotion & Popularization of Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN).
