In June, a team from the National Centre for Nuclear Research took part in the International Invention and Innovation Show in Katowice. This is one of Europe’s most important events dedicated to innovation, inventions and modern technologies. The innovative solutions developed at the NCBJ were honoured with two prestigious awards:
The INTARG Platinum Award for the invention “Mobile device for detecting the presence of prohibited materials and hazardous substances during transport in motor vehicles”, i.e. the SOWA system. Authors: Wojciech Dziewiecki, Jan Klimaszewski, Michał Matusiak, Sławomir Wronka
The INTARG Gold Medal for the invention “Method and system for imaging objects using backscattered X-ray photons”. Authors: Sławomir Wronka, Krzysztof Kasperski.
These awards confirm the high standard of research and the innovative nature of the solutions developed by scientists at the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ).
We warmly congratulate all the creators, research teams and individuals involved in the development and implementation of the award-winning technologies.
We wish you continued success and further groundbreaking scientific and technological achievements!
