The National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) is one of the bigest research institutes in Poland. Wide research activity takes place at NCBJ, especially basic research in nuclear physics and related fields, reactor research and development of nuclear fuel, safety of nuclear installations and many others.
Currently, we are looking for a person for a position in Theoretical Physics Division:
Senior specialist
for modeling the fusion and fission processes of superheavy nuclei
Location: Warsaw, Pasteura 7
Job/tasks description:
- Utilization of advanced numerical methods to model the fusion and fission processes of superheavy nuclei.
- Application of stochastic dynamics techniques in multidimensional deformation spaces.
- Execution of advanced numerical simulations and theoretical analyses to explore the production mechanisms and feasibility of synthesizing superheavy nuclei.
Requirements:
- Demands expertise in contemporary theoretical physics methods related to atomic nuclei, as well as advanced numerical techniques for calculating fusion and fission probabilities in superheavy systems.
- Msc in the field of theoretical nuclear physics.
- At least 5 years of experience in theoretical nuclear physics.
Proficiency in Fortran and C++ programming, as well as development tools, including modern numerical methods used in nuclear physics.
