The National Centre for Nuclear Research opens the competition for the position of

Postoc
at the High Energy Physics Division
(ref. BP3_335)
 

Localization: Pasteura 7, 02-093 Warsaw

Postdoctoral position (3-year) to conduct particle physics research within the (LHCb experiment and phenomenology) withinn NCN project "Tests of fundamental symmetries using polarized baryons".

Description of tasks:

  • data analysis,
  • developing software for phenomenological interpretation
  • contributing to tasks essential for the operation and advancement of the experiment
  • active participation in international meetings and workshops

Requirements for the candidate:

  • PhD degree in particle physics (candidates who will obtain PhD before the start of the project are egligible)
  • prior experience in the LHCb experiment are preferred
  • include proficiency in particle physics and programming
  • oral and written communication skills in English
  • the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an international team

Additional assets:

  • prior experience in the LHCb experiment is preferred. Previous work related to precision tests of the Standard Model with baryons is desirable
