Scientific interests

He is mostly interested in physics of quark-gluon plasma – the state of very dense and hot matter that prevailed in the Universe shortly after the Big Band. In terrestrial laboratories the drops of such plasma are produced nowadays in collisions of heavy atomic nuclei accelerated to sufficiently high energies. Detailed analysis of the collisions allows one to learn about extraordinary properties of the plasma and processes occurring in the early Universe.
